About Me

Dipl.-Ing. Justyna Konecka

I am a yoga - and dance Teacher, and embodiment facilitator with scientific Background. In my work, I am combining ancient eastern traditions, modern research, and my personal experience to help people reclaim their body wisdom and use their bodies as portals to personal growth and transformation.

After some years working in cancer research, my calling and curiosity brought me to India, where I was studying different traditions of yoga (Ashtanga Yoga being my biggest passion) and meditation followed by many years of self study and experience in the areas of kink, shamanism, tantra, energy work, and other embodied spiritual practices.

I believe that spiritual experiences should be treated scientifically without reducing them to materialism. I like to use scientific research to provide explanations to some extraordinary phenomena, that can be experienced through our body. Science cannot explain everything (and it will probably stay this way), but it can help us better understand and learn about our bodies and other dimensions of Self.

My Story

My Story

I always had a huge passion for music and sensuality, the beauty of movement, and the depth of physical experience. I started to dance when I was seven years old and haven't stopped ever since.

Besides of movement and dance, I was always interested in the incredible machinery of life, especially the human body and the way it works. This fascination led me to my biotechnology studies and eventually to a job in molecular medicine. My scientific background and working in the research for over 5 years helped me to understand the mechanisms and biochemistry of life, but it didn’t give me answers to fundamental questions about human nature and consciousness.

My search for different means of knowledge brought me to the discovery of my own spirituality. It came to me in many different forms and ways, including my long-term yoga and meditation practice, shamanism,
tantric energy work, reiki healing, and experiencing various dimensions of my body and mind through different states of consciousness.

Over the last decade, I have studied many styles of yoga, but for the past eight years, I mostly focused on Ashtanga Vinyasa with different teachers in Vienna and India.

The turning point on my path happened during my first stay in India, while I was living in an ashram and dedicated myself to Hatha Yoga and the yogic lifestyle. Hatha Yoga prepares the physical body for the spiritual experience and turns it into a strong vehicle for transformation. And this is exactly what happened to me. During this time my body became a gate to life-changing experiences, which gave me profound insights into the nature of life, the universe, and myself. What I experienced couldn't be grasped by the intellect, but it taught me much more about life than all the scientific books and publications I ever read. I learned, that there is a different, more profound quality of Knowing, based on direct experience, and our body is a perfectly designed tool to get access to that knowledge.

Since then, I am committed to helping others get access to the full potential of their body wisdom and spirituality.
